The Responder may not even come to the operating room.
The Non-Responder will very likely come the OR quickly.
The Transient Responders are the difficult ones. They tempt the surgeon to go to CT scanning. As I have said elsewhere, death begins in radiology. It is in radiology where the bleeding continues until even the patient’s own catechols eventually fail and the blood pressure plummets because, in radiology, no one is watching/caring for the patient. Also, and in addition to the time wasted going to CT, the patient is getting colder, acidotic, and coagulopathic. The lethal triad has begun.
No young healthy patient should become hypotensive more than once. If they do, they are severely bleeding and need an operation.
